Beautiful Beast

Of all the reserves in Africa (that I’ve had the pleasure to visit of course), Sabi Sand Game Reserve is my favorite, due to their famed big cats. Leopard sightings are extremely rare in other game parks, but I was able to see 2-3 leopards a day here! I love all animals and I believe they all poses a special physical beauty. But then came the leopard. A perfectly formed creature from nose to tails, everything about them is pretty. Don’t let this beauty fool you though, they are such vicious hunters. While I am sure that you are staring into the telling eyes of this hypnotizing cat, I wonder how many of you will recognize her prey’s remains. Look closely and see the spine and the antlers of her prey. A beauty and a beast indeed.
